Facilitating Inquiry & Competency-Based Learning in Schoology

Mr. Marquette and Mr. Tinnin will discuss how they implement an Inquiry and Competency-Based learning model in Schoology. They will also demonstrate how student-voice-and-choice factor into a traditional-style grading system. Furthermore, they will share features and elements of Schoology that promote innovative practices, including how multiple assignments across multiple disciplines can calculate a degree of skill-mastery over time. This session is for teachers of all experience levels, and it will be most helpful if you have your laptop running with Schoology software so that you can experiment and tinker with your own classroom along the way.
